About us

Moksha is a Sanskrit word meaning emancipation, liberation or freedom. This concept served as the premise upon which Maligay Govender founded the company Moksha Wellness. In the religious context, Moksha refers to the re-incarnation of the soul that goes through life and death cycles. The soul reaches Moksha or liberation to be one with God once it has learnt all necessary life lessons and settled all Karma.

Maligay uses this concept to demonstrate that some times the obstacles we are faced with in life can not be changed, however , we can take away lessons from these circumstances and propel ourselves forward to ensure we are still able to achieve our goals and live fruitful lives liberated from the weight of the unpleasant circumstances or past experiences.

The logo has a Unalome in the design. The unalome symbol represents the path to enlightenment in the Buddhist culture. The spirals are meant to symbolize the twists and turns in life, and the straight lines, the moment one reaches enlightenment or peace and harmony.

Maligay is an acreddited Master Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner, a Business Executive coach has 10 years experience in the Mental health field. She uses her psychology background coupled with her coaching experience to take her client from where they are to where they would like to be.

Furthermore, she also acknowledges that there is no one approach to healing, hence why she uses her holistic training to assist her in meeting her clients needs.

'I am a facilitator of my clients healing process. Together we assess what would assist in achieving their goals, whether it be, psycho-education, rehabilitation tools, Coaching techniques, Kinesiology, balancing techniques, crystal healing, Reiki, Massage therapy or an amalgamation of the above and more.'

Maligay is extremely passionate about Mental health and Wellness. She serves as an ambassador for spreading awareness around these issues and ways we can promote wellness and reduce the stigma around Mental Health Issues.
